for executives ready to architect their next chapter.
About

I am a physicist, a serial entrepreneur, a licensed therapist, and a woman who has been broken more than once. I co-founded ChiliPad with my husband Todd, invented the world's first real-time sleep tracker, and grew the company to a $300M valuation with 500,000+ sleep systems sold. Before that, I lost my son Benjamin. Both times, I thought the story was over.
Both times, I was wrong.
When a private equity firm entered Chili Sleep, the commitment was a four-year growth partnership. Within weeks, the orientation shifted from growth to extraction — from serving customers to maximizing short-term profit. The vendors who had built our supply chain were treated as expendable. The customers who trusted us with their health became line items. Todd and I faced the choice every founder dreads: stay and compromise your values, or leave and preserve your integrity. We chose integrity. We negotiated our exit, were compensated for the company we built, and walked away — not because we failed, but because we refused to be part of something that no longer honored the mission.
That exit became my greatest reinvention. I earned my PhD in functional and holistic medicine — studying Chinese Traditional Medicine, neuroscience, and root-cause medicine. I completed a Master of Science in clinical mental health and clinical psychology, becoming a licensed therapist. I studied what happens in the brain when everything falls apart and discovered that our brains are not designed to bounce back. They are designed to reorganize, to build new pathways, to become more complex and capable than before.
Today, with 50+ patents to my name — more than Beulah Louise Henry, "Lady Edison," who held the record as one of America's most prolific female inventors — I work at the crossroads of neuroscience, longevity, and human potential. In a world where women represent only 12.8% of all U.S. patent holders, I am proof that women do not just participate in innovation. We lead it.
I am not here because I figured it out. I am here because I broke, and the repair made me better.
The Method
A neuroscience-backed framework for turning any break into a breakthrough. Whether you have lost a company, a relationship, or your sense of self, this is the blueprint for rebuilding.

with Grace
You cannot fix a crack you refuse to see. The first step is giving yourself permission to be not okay. Neuroscience shows that labeling an emotion calms the amygdala and moves you from survival mode into repair mode.
with Grit
Find solid ground through deliberate daily practice. One small act of perseverance each day builds new neural pathways and reminds you that you are still in the game. This is where Angela Duckworth's research on grit meets neuroplasticity.
with Purpose
You do not rebuild what you lost. You architect something new, informed by the break. This is where passion and purpose converge to create your next chapter, more aligned and more powerful than the last.

Dr. Youngblood's sleep optimization protocols and thermal regulation technology have been deployed where performance is not optional — from the diamond to the battlefield.
Major League Baseball
Professional athletes operate at the razor's edge of human performance — where a 2% improvement in recovery can mean the difference between a win and a loss. Dr. Youngblood's sleep protocols were adopted by the Cincinnati Reds to address the specific challenges of a 162-game MLB season: constant travel across time zones, late-night games disrupting circadian rhythm, and the cumulative fatigue that degrades reaction time, decision-making, and injury resilience over six months.
Her approach went beyond generic sleep hygiene. Using thermal regulation technology and individualized sleep architecture analysis, she developed protocols targeting each player's chronotype and travel schedule — optimizing core body temperature drop timing for faster sleep onset, increasing deep sleep stages for muscular repair, and improving HRV (heart rate variability) as a leading indicator of recovery readiness.

All Branches of Service
Sleep deprivation is the single most pervasive performance degrader in military operations. Dr. Youngblood's thermal regulation technology and sleep optimization protocols have been deployed across all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard — where the stakes of poor sleep are measured not in games lost but in lives at risk.
Military environments present extreme challenges that no consumer sleep product is designed for: desert heat exceeding 120°F, submarine compartments with zero natural light, flight decks with 18-hour operational cycles, and forward operating bases where sleep windows are unpredictable and compressed. Dr. Youngblood's protocols were adapted for each environment, using passive thermal regulation to enable faster sleep onset in extreme conditions and circadian rhythm management for shift workers and personnel operating across multiple time zones.

"When the Cincinnati Reds need their players recovering faster and the U.S. military needs their operators performing under extreme sleep deprivation — they turn to the same science. That science is what I bring to every coaching client, every keynote, and every protocol I design."

Speaking
Dr. Youngblood delivers keynotes and workshops on reinvention, resilience, and the neuroscience of human potential. Her talks blend raw personal storytelling with cutting-edge science, leaving audiences with actionable frameworks they can use immediately.
The Longevity Gap
The wellness industry was built on male physiology, tested on male subjects, and optimized for male outcomes. Dr. Youngblood is building the alternative.
5.3 years
longer life expectancy for women
Women outlive men on average, yet spend more of those years managing chronic conditions
78%
of centenarians are women
Women dominate longevity — but the gap between lifespan and healthspan is widening
3–4x
more likely to develop autoimmune disease
Hashimoto's, lupus, RA, MS — overwhelmingly diseases of women, overwhelmingly undertreated
The Innovation Gap
Women represent only 12.8% of all U.S. patent holders. Research published in Science found that patents with majority-female inventing teams are significantly more likely to focus on women's health — yet women are dramatically underrepresented among those who get to invent solutions.
With 50+ patents, Dr. Youngblood holds more patents than Beulah Louise Henry ("Lady Edison," 49 patents) — historically one of America's most prolific female inventors. Her portfolio spans sleep optimization, thermal regulation, health data integration, and longevity assessment.
The Solution
The Youngblood Longevity platform integrates biology, behavior, and mindset into a single Convergence Score — weighting Baseline Biology (40%), Behavior & Habits (30%), and Mindset & Psychology (30%).
The deliberate inclusion of mindset at 30% is what separates this from every competitor. As a licensed therapist with clinical psychology training, Dr. Youngblood built the only longevity platform that quantifies stress resilience, emotional stability, and cognitive load — because mental health is not a silo. It is a multiplier.
